The Elwood collection is made from Tasmanian blackwood timbers. For those of you in the know you can attest to the timber's truly brilliant character, it actually comes up quite well in the photos but it's hard to give the timber the justice it deserves. It has lighter and darker streaks of colour running through and is beautifully finished with a satin varnish which allows its natural colour to beam through. The drawer has metal runners, dovetail joins and the base has been lined with black felt. If you are a timber lover and looking for a natural element to add some warmth to your space it will be hard to go past the Tasmanian blackwood timber. In terms of the general quality, build and finish these are excellent, complete with a clean simple design to stand the test of time.

Elwood Tasmanian Blackwood 2400 TV Entertainment U

I recently purchased the Elwood Tasmanian Blackwood 2400 TV Entertainment Unit for our new 85inch TV. I wanted something sturdy and long enough without being chunky looking and this ticks all of those boxes. It looks slimline and it’s the perfect size for our tv. There’s a bit of space each side of the tv left so it looks well proportioned. I wouldn’t buy any smaller in length for an 85inch TV. I did a lot of research and I am very glad I decided on this unit. The Blackwood timber is beautiful and looks great against our floorboards. I prefer darker tv units as the tv is black so it looks more seamless. As it’s a big purchase, both money wise and it’s a large piece of furniture in the house, I become really nervous before it was delivered as to whether or not I picked the right one as I couldn’t see it in person being based in regional NSW, but as soon as the box was opened and I saw it, I was so happy. The colours of the timber are beautiful, it’s really well made and high quality. It’s a beautiful piece of furniture that we will have forever and I am so happy with it. The service was also amazing. The day after I ordered it, I received a phone call confirming the order and updates on the delivery also. Delivery was fantastic also, very helpful and he made it look easy. I have no hesitation in recommending this tv unit. I would definitely buy it again.
