The Elwood collection is made from Tasmanian blackwood timbers. For those of you in the know you can attest to the timber's truly brilliant character, it actually comes up quite well in the photos but it's hard to give the timber the justice it deserves. It has lighter and darker streaks of colour running through and is beautifully finished with a satin varnish which allows its natural colour to beam through. The drawers have metal runners, dovetail joins and the bases have been lined with black felt. If you are a timber lover and looking for a natural element to add some warmth to your space it will be hard to go past the Tasmanian blackwood timber. In terms of the general quality, build and finish these are excellent, complete with a clean simple design to stand the test of time.
